Day 1 at Mammoth - Driving in, we hit the leading edge of the storm about 7:15 AM after getting an early start out of Bishop at 6:30.
US 395 was closed to trucks and high profile vehicles. This guy probably had some explaining to do.
We decided not to ski during the "blizzard" warning, so we ate a late breakfast/early lunch while we waited for our condo check in time.
This is the snow that accumulated on the roof of the van while we ate - about 90 minutes.

A delay in the arrival of the trash pick-up has provided a bonanza for the local blackbirds. FYI - The Trash pick-up occurred about 30 seconds after I took this picture!
